After having run an unsuccessful crowdfunding campaign for One Final Breath, indie developer Dark Day Interactive has launched a new campaign complete with more info and a demo.

In One Final Breath, you play a father searching for his daughter Carrie-Ann, who had attended Saint Mary’s boarding school for gifted children. The school was shut down after students started disappearing.

But Carrie-Ann keeps running away and trying to get back into the school to join her friend and fellow student Ava — who has told her some disturbing things — even though no one is supposed to be there.

And now, Carrie-Ann is missing

You discover that the school was once a hospital where violent and horrific operations were performed on both adults and children. You believe Carrie-Ann has found a way back in. You must find her before something terrible happens.

One Final Breath is about pure survival. You’ll have nothing with which to defend yourself from whatever you find within Saint Mary’s.

Lurk, stumble and crawl. Peek and sneak. Run or die.

One Final Breath will be released PC, Mac, Linux, with future support for Oculus Rift. A demo is available here.

The game has been Greenlit. A Kickstarter campaign is in progress until December 17, 2014. Currently, over 50% of the base goal of $3500 AUD has been reached. Please help make the second crowdfunding campaign a success!

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
