Step into the shoes of Robert Morgan, a young American living in the English countryside, who is summoned to Southampton by a friend to assist in the settlement of the estate of a mutual acquaintance.
As he travels to his destination by train, Morgan is framed for a series of jewel heists and must sail aboard the ill-fated Titanic in order to clear his name by finding the actual culprit.
As Morgan explores the enormous vessel, he’s enshrouded in a vast mystery which can be solved in various ways according to the player’s actions. As the voyage progresses, several optional side-plots will present themselves. These will expand the storyline greatly and allow for a massive recreation of 1912 life, complete with the problems, struggles and aspirations of Titanic’s true passengers (with few exceptions, all characters in the game will be real-life Titanic figures).
You will be able to experience the Titanic’s sinking first-hand in real-time, rescuing other passengers while making your way through flooding corridors and encountering many serious difficulties.
The entire ship is being re-created in an unprecedented amount of detail and accuracy. To that end, Four Funnels Entertainment is consulting General Arrangement and CAD plans by Bruce Beveridge, Bob Read, and others, as well as books such as Titanic: The Ship Magnificent – Volumes 1 and 2 and Titanic: A Modelmaker’s Manual, as well as other photographic references.
The developer is also turning to groups and forums frequented by experienced Titanic researchers, and is in contact with several prominent Titanic historians and authors. Several historians are also on the Four Funnels team as advisors concerning an accurate representation of Titanic.
It’s anticipated that the game will be released in 2016 for Windows. Although system requirements have yet to be announced, a fairly powerful PC will likely be needed.
Titanic: Honor and Glory is being built using Unreal Engine 4. The game will support Oculus Rift. A demo is planned.
A crowdfunding campaign is planned for February 15, 2015.
