Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers Pre-Launch Celebration Continues

Days 2 and 3 are covered in a doubleheader

Yesterday left my inbox devoid of info regarding Day 2 of the launch countdown, so I’m doubling up here.

Day 2: Gabriel Knight 20th Anniversary Edition – Gabriel Nightmare Video

Gabriel’s recurring nightmare is now remade for the 20th Anniversary Edition. It includes all of the scenes from the original while featuring updated animations, art style and soundtrack:

And don’t forget Thursday, October 9th at 11AM PST/ 2PM EST/ 7PM GMT, when Gabriel Knight creator, Jane Jensen will be on Reddit’s AMA board.

Day 3: A Gabriel Knight short story: The Temptation. Written by Jane Jensen herself, this is the first addition to the Gabriel Knight lore since Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned.

Taking place six months after his last quest, Gabriel finds himself back in Germany and working on another case. He wonders where one goes after reaching his career peak. Uncovering his family line’s true history and how it ties to his Schattenjäger roots will certainly go down as one of the most important findings in the Shadow Hunter’s records.

Perhaps just as important, we also learn what happened to Gabriel after reading Grace’s letter at the end of Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned.

The Temptation will surely appeal to fans who have eagerly anticipated learning what happened to our hero after the end of the third game. You can download the short story here and it’s absolutely free.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
