Doorways: The Underworld is the third chapter in the Doorways series. However, it isn’t necessary to have played the first two chapters to enjoy this one.

Doorways is a survival horror game in which nothing is what it seems. You’ll encounter diverse enigmas, changing gameplay and the scariest of environments. You’ll have to overcome your fears if you want to get to the end and discover the truth.

You’ll visit terrifying places, but how did you get there? Everything is diffuse. What’s real? What kind of nightmare is this that can hurt you or even kill you? Why do you remember things you never experienced?

Will you unveil these mysteries as your deepest fears emerge? Will you step through the gates without knowing where they lead? In Doorways, every threshold will get you to a different world.

You’ll experience shocks and deep psychological fears as your tolerance to horror and capacity to solve problems under pressure are tested. Do you think you have what it takes to survive?

Indie developer Saibot Studios will be releasing Doorways: The Underworld on September 17th for PC, Mac and Linux. It will include Oculus Rift support, all the better to terrify you, my dear.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
