Buck is a 2D action-adventure game in the spirit of modern 2D side-scrollers but with new and unique mechanics such as weapon customization, player-driven dialogues, none-linear story progression and many other features that aim to move the 2D side-scrolling genre to newer and more exciting territories.

Help Buck discover what happened to his love while encountering the strange and dangerous inhabitants of Cordova Desert, a dangerous wasteland filled with remnants of forgotten towns, lost technology and fearsome enemies tearing each other apart for survival.

Explore a hand-drawn world brought to life, filled with interesting characters to both converse with and fight

Step into the shoes of Buck, the most skilled fighter and mechanic in all of Cordova, as he outtalks and fights his way through crazy bandits, local colonists and very dangerous individuals

There’s almost nothing Buck can’t fix or build. Use his knowledge to upgrade your arsenal, improve your weapons’ reload speed, increase damage output, ammo capacity and much more.

Buck knows how to handle a fight; use his fists and weapons together to string aerial combos and leave his unlucky opponents helpless

The game will be released on PC, Mac and Linux in early 2015. A Kickstarter campaign is in progress until May 28, 2014. If you like what you see, please consider giving Buck your support!

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
