A benchmark in point-and-click games history with over 1.5 million units sold, Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy has arrived on the Android Play Store. Embark on an amazing journey to a strange land in search of an egg of a famed white bird that was stolen fifty years earlier in order to rescue a vanishing species.

This version includes many improvements:

  • More places to explore, such as the top of the lighthouse in the first chapter. (A Syberia easter egg is also included for the fans of the author.)
  • A more colorful universe. Some areas have even been recreated from scratch with new textures and new scenery (the area of the volcano and the village, for instance)
  • Multiple sounds have been implemented to reinforce the atmosphere
  • The addition of various animations: objects in the scenery, encountered characters, animals, etc.

“Amerzone is one of the main references in our adventure games catalog. Today, we keep having our collection evolve, especially on mobile devices, in order to give the players the opportunity to (re)discover our hit titles on new platforms. We are happy to make it available for the Android devices owners that requested it for a long time.” says Elliot Grassiano, VP at Microïds.

The game is available today in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
