Heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold doesn’t seem content with just trying to rock stadiums and everyone’s eardrums; they’ll be bringing an action-adventure dungeon game to mobile devices sometime soon.

The game, called Hail to the King: Deathbat, will be developed by Subscience Studios, which will draw inspiration from dungeon crawlers along with the band’s own iconic discography and artwork. It also goes along with the band’s current Machinima video series “Hail to the King”.

In Hail to the King: Deathbat, players will explore dungeons with hellishly-drawn landscapes, brutal combat, and unforgiving boss demons.

M. Shadows, lead singer of Avenged Sevenfold, elaborated on the game’s genesis, “We’ve been fans of games since we were kids, and we thought it would be fun to create one of our own inspired by our favorites. There are so many cool and innovative indie games being developed today, and we realized we could design and build the kind of game we’d love to play on our own. It is coming together amazingly well, and we can’t wait to share it.”

At this time there is no specified release date or which platform the game will make its release on.
