Indie developer Blackish Games is asking for your help. After working on New Orbit for over two years, money is running out.

Episode 1 has been completed, and consists of 10 Story missions and a bonus playground to introduce you to the world of New Orbit and the story of Jonah Braun.

Your support is needed in order to complete Episode 2, which takes the game to the next level. The story will continue. It will be longer and even more intense than Episode 1. There will be haunting cutscenes, adventure sections that play out inside your shuttle cockpit and a spectacular finale.

In New Orbit, Earth is gone. Those who could, fled the planet and settled in the asteriod belt.

Years passed, factions formed, resources became scarce and war ensued.

You are a young engineer of the Node Collective, lost deep inside enemy territory. Your mothership has been reduced to burning debris, and you are in a badly-damaged shuttle with nothing but the cold voice of your computer for company.

Experience a space game like no other, featuring realistic gravitation, intuitive controls and a fully-voiced story. Platforms will include Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS.

The Kickstarter campaign will run until January 24, 2014.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
