Windforge is a game for PC that combines Contra-like gameplay with the freedom and building of Minecraft. Build airships and explore hostile skies in an ever-changing Steampunk world.

“We are really excited by the reception we have had to the previews of the game so far at industry conferences and by the Steam Greenlight community where we are currently in 98% of the way into the top 100 games,” says Jean-Sylvain Sormany, CEO of Snowed In Studios.

The game focuses on empowering the player with freedom and creativity. Story-driven and challenges based on the environment provide goals for players to harness that creativity. Windforge is an RPG without barriers.

The game takes place in the world of Cordeus, which is dependent on Sky Whale oil. The once-abundant population of Sky Whales is dwindling and faces exctinction, and a new source of energy must be found.

We’ve been working really hard to create a unique Steampunk world that gives players the freedom to explore, create and destroy anything they want. So far the response to game has been amazing, which is really fueling us in our last push.”

The game’s Kickstarter campaign will be in progress until December 6, 2013.
