Kickstarter Trailer

The 7th Guest was released in 1993. Its sequel, The 11th Hour, arrived in 1995. And then…and then…

It’s suddenly 2013.

“We’ve been waiting to make The 7th Guest: 3 for a long time,” said Rob Landeros, co-founder, creative director and CEO of Trilobyte Games. “The team’s in place; new puzzles are in development, and the most notorious villain in all gaming, Henry Stauf, is poised to return and finish the story that begin in The 7th Guest.  With the launch of our Kickstarter campaign, we’re turning to our fans and the gaming community to provide the only remaining ingredient, development and production funding.”

In T7G3, the mansion built by the brilliant madman Henry Stauf will be more ghastly, more demented, more appallingly apparitional than ever before. Twenty devilish puzzles will be waiting to terrify even the most jaded gamer, including the gear maze, circular tilt maze and “global” chess (played on a sphere).

The cavernous Stauf mansion will actually be a puzzle in itself. The story will be completed only if all puzzles in the house — as well as the puzzle of the house — are solved. Then, and only then, will the final dreadful secret of Henry Stauf be revealed.

Gameplay will follow that of The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour, updated to include touch screen/mobile technology as well as modern standards in video game presentation.

“We are committed to staying true to the spirit of the original 7th Guest,” said Landeros. “We estimate development and production time of approximately one year to finish this final episode,” said Landeros. “Our team is already working and we’re the kind of studio that delivers on its promises, so be ready.”

The 7th Guest 3 will be developed and eventually be available on all viable platforms including, but not limited to, iOS, Android, PC, Mac, and quite possibly Linux, Steam and a dedicated game console to be named later.
Old Man Stauf built a house and filled it with his toys. Six guests were invited one night, their screams the only noise…

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
