BAM! BIFF! POW! Warner Bros and DC Entertainment released today the latest installment in the caped crusader’s adventure: Batman: Arkham Origins. The game is available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, with boxed PC and Wii U versions coming November 8, 2013.

 

Batman: Arkham Origins takes place several years before Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, where a younger Batman is beginning his path onto becoming the Dark Knight of Gotham. Set on Christmas Eve, Batman is being hunted by eight deadly assassins, and will run into iconic villains like the Joker, Black Mask, Penguin, Deathstroke, Bane, Deadshot, Copperhead and more. Using his detective skills, numerous gadgets, and fighting ability, Batman will have to survive the night to become the crime fighter that Gotham needs.

 

The game will feature a franchise-first multiplayer mode with 3v3v2 gameplay: players can take control of Batman and Robin against other players as baddies from Joker’s and Bane’s gang, or even take control of the heinous villains themselves.
