News/Kickstarter Campaign – September 19, 2013

So here’s the deal…

The story of The Ballads of Reemus revolves around, well, Reemus, a medieval exterminator and his loyal sidekick Liam, the purple bear. The two battle giant insects in a quest to legitimize “extermination” as a heroic career path.

The kingdom in which Reemus and Liam live is 97% illiterate, so the only way to get one’s name known is through song.

When his main competitor, Pest-Go, reduces pest control to a skill anyone can do with a squirt bottle, Reemus fears his chances of having a truly heroic ballad written about him are over.

That is, until he stumbles upon an invasion of killer Death Slugs that has all the makings of the greatest quest of all time, one that could not only restore extermination to its former glory but finally put Reemus on the map as a true hero.

Now, only one question remains. Will Reemus and Liam defeat the insidious Death Slugs, or will they be the ones exterminated? Find out in The Ballads of Reemus 2.

And be sure to support the game over on Kickstarter, where a campaign is running through October 19th. Help bring the Death Slugs back!
The first Reemus game, The Ballads of Remus, can be purchased or tried for free at the JA Store.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
