French develper/publisher Neko Games has launched a strategic cooperation with Headup Games to sell the successful adventure game The Inner World internationally as a digital download.

The game was recently nominated for the German Children Software award – TOMMI. The 2D point-and-click adventure offers quirky animated characters, challenging puzzles and a humorous story.

The Inner World takes place in Asposia, a world that — contrary to the laws of physics —  exists in an enormous hollow space surrounded by endless soil and ventilated through three big wind fountains.

When the fountains start to run dry, players step into the role of Robert who, with the best intentions and without a clue, sets out to investigate the wind’s disappearance. He is accompanied by the mysterious thief Laura, who may have secret intentions…

Dieter Schoeller, Managing Director of Headup Games, is delighted: “Neko Entertainment is a high quality indie developer with great reputation. This accompanies our demands and plans for the worldwide digital distribution of The Inner World.”

Also, Laurent Lichnewsky, Managing Director of Neko Entertainment, appreciates the cooperation: “The great adventure game The Inner World is an enrichment to our portfolio and we are looking forward to the cooperation with Headup Games, whose philosophy we share.“

International digital sale of The Inner World for Windows and Mac will begin shortly.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
