PRESTON, UNITED KINGDOM, June 25th, 2013 – About the gameplay trailer:
We’ve been super busy over the last couple of months adding features, polishing art and baking cookies. It eventually all came together and we hope you like it!
The video features a few key components of the game and generally shows what you’ll be doing in Routine:
- Travelling and Exploring areas. Visiting new sites via the connected Tram System and trying your best to carefully search through the environment.
- Accessing Public Computers and your Personal Data Assistance (PDA) to aid you on your research to what exactly has happened at the facility.
- Running, Hiding and Defending yourself from any sort of threats that may pose themselves to you.
Routine is an ’80s vision of the future set on an abandoned Moon base; it is a first-person horror exploration game which has a heavy emphasis on hiding, survival and Perma death!
Routine’s Moon base will be a non-linear experience that lets you explore any part of the base, including hidden areas that other players may not find, a number of randomized environmental hazards, AI locations and floppy disks to update the software for your Cosmonaut Assistance Tool! Be immersed with deadzone aiming, full body awareness, no hud, no health bars, just you and your ability to survive!
Lunar software is an independent development team of 3 with sound and music from Mick Gordon. Routine is their first title that uses Unreal Engine 3, looking to release 2013 for PC and MAC.
