THE 2003 E3 JUST ADVENTURE AWARDS! Presented |
CHAMELEON: MYSTERIOUS
JOURNEY II
Developer: Detallion
Publisher: The
Adventure Company
Platform: Windows
Projected Release Date: Winter 2003
This was
an extremely difficult decision between the lushness of Uru
and the other- worldliness of Chameleon. But in the end Chameleon
reigned triumphant as it magnificently succeeds in making the unnatural
seem natural. Even the screenshots
and trailer
do not convey the power of these amazing graphics.
The stunning
visuals were created using Touchdown Entertainments (formerly LithTech)
Jupiter engine. There is something about hands-on, personally playing
Chameleon that is addictive. The graphics and animations are
so luscious and intriguing that you find yourself exploring the landscape,
memorized and wandering without a care, oblivious to the puzzles that
hinder your progress. We would love to tell you more concerning the
chameleon aspect of the plot, but hey this award is for graphics,
so youll just have to wait for the upcoming preview!
Maciek
Miasik and his team at Detalion are to be commended for their unique
vision and artwork. Their artistic contributions to the adventure
community have raised the bar for future developers.
