click to enlargeNot much is yet known
about the new adventure sequel Clock Tower 3 and Capcom
seems reluctant to deal with a yucky adventure site
(maybe we need to wear our caps sideways and end all our words with
a ‘z’), but not only did I managez to score these rad
screenshotz for my homies, but I also found some nice trailerz.
The trailerz are in Japaneze, but the graphics and sound effects
are all in English (my email address is [email protected]).
Now, I can’t read Japanese, but I did come up with my own game
blurb, “Young girl receives mysterious letter and must then
visit mysterious mansion where she is chased by mysterious ghosts
that she then blows-away with mysterious Resident Evil style weaponry.”

click to enlargeSince this really isn’t
much of a preview and is really nothing more than a lot of screen
shots, I thought I should also include
some quotable lines that could be included in the Clock Tower
3
marketing
campaign. I know that I for one am sick of reading quotes on console
adventure games from dweebs whose idea of adventure is successfully
cutting the cellophane off their new PS2 game.

“This is the best
adventure game I have never played!”
“ Wow! This game looks so spooky that my white underoos are now brown.”
“ Cutting-edge graphics. Cutting-edge plot. Cutting-edge decapitations.”
“ This game out Resident Evils, Resident Evil!”

Clock Tower 2 have
both been featured – by my favorite reviewer -on Just
Adventure and come highly recommended. In the meantime, here’s
to the day when the console publishers & developers have that
dim bulb go off in their heads and realize that adventure gamers
don’t care if a game is on console or pc, they just care
that it’s an adventure game. Peace out. (Btw, past experience
has proven that most public relations people for the console companies
must not have had ‘sense of humor’ listed in their
job descriptions so don’t expect us to have any exclusives
on Clock Tower 3 soon!)

click to enlargeNews Flash! This just
in – in the few days since this preview
was written, Capcom has opened a new Clock
Tower 3
website
.
We now have this official description of the game:

Behind every shadow lie your darkest fears…
Alyssa Hamilton is an ordinary girl with ordinary dreams who is
about to discover a side of herself that she never knew she possessed.
Only she has the power to destroy the evil that threatens to plunge
the world into darkness. Her destiny is to end the brutal crusade
of the Evil Servants, foul spirits who thrive on the trapped life
force of their murdered victim’s souls. To save herself and
these tortured innocents, Alyssa must unlock the mysteries surrounding
the death of each soul. However, the legions of the dark world won’t
succumb easily. Alyssa must summon the sacred weapons necessary to
banish these demonic creatures to the nightmare realms that spawned
them before the clock tower strikes midnight.

Hmmm…I think my description made more sense.
