The only thing I never figured out was how
Holmes knew there was a composite involving one of the royal
family – or, more to the point a female member. I suspected a
compromising picture was missing from Lawton’s album, but
had assumed it was something that would make Lady Cordelia break
off the engagement. Yet, when Holmes confronts Major Mysteray he
refers to the picture explicitly.
Overall, though – what fun!
