Wild Wild West: The Steel Assassin (1999)

Shortly after the American Civil War and the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, President Ulysses S. Grant receives death threats from someone claiming to be the true murderer of the former president. He sends Jim West and Artemus Gordon to investigate and stop the unknown killer.

The game is based on the television series of the same name. The player takes control of West and Gordon in alternating chapters, with each character’s sections playing differently.

Gordon’s chapters focus on puzzle-solving adventure gameplay with inventory items and logic puzzles. West’s chapters feature action shooter sequences.

The player can choose the order of the chapters before the final one, where frequent switching between the two is required to finish the game.
