You play as Carol Reed, a young English woman in her twenties who lives in Sweden. At the start of the game, she is preparing for her fourth Midsummer’s Eve there, which is only three days away.

The case begins when a neighbor at her allotment tells her he suspects his son is involved in a murder. What follows is an adventure with more challenging and intricate puzzles than Carol has faced in her previous cases.

Carol travels through dark tunnels, abandoned military areas, derelict mines, and places of historical importance, with the mystery eventually reaching the Royal Family. The truth is uncovered step by step by questioning quirky characters and piecing together clues from a mystery whose roots go back nearly 100 years.
