Henry Townshend lives in South Ashfield, a city half a day’s drive from Silent Hill, and is content with his life in the South Ashfield Heights apartments.

One day, he finds himself mysteriously locked in his own apartment, Room 302. He cannot escape through the windows or the front door, which has been chained shut from the inside.

No one outside can hear him when he pounds on the door and cries for help. As he explores the apartment, he finds a giant hole in the bathroom wall.

Going through the hole leads him to a portal that takes him to alternate dimensions.
