Egypt 1156 B.C.: Tomb of the Pharaoh (1997)

Style
Perspective: 1st-person

Set in 1156 B.C., you play Ramose, a young Egyptian man hoping to prove himself as an investigator for the rulers of Egypt. His first assignment is to investigate the desecration and looting of the Tomb of Sethi I, after his own father is accused of the crime.

You have three days to prove his innocence and avoid execution. The game uses a first-person view with smooth turning at any location, along with 3-D rendered graphics and occasional third-person cutscenes.

Communication uses a simple branching dialogue tree, and both conversation and puzzle solving involve manipulating objects in and out of your inventory. The game also includes reference material about ancient Egypt, its people, and its culture, accessible during play or from the main menu.
