Dystoria Will Be Arriving February 21, 2017 – February 7, 2017

Dystoria is a 360-degree axis-shifting space shooter with core mechanics that permit flight in any direction, in true 3D space. Your ship, however, can only shoot forward despite your flight direction.

You’ll navigate precise routes in each level, apprehend and destroy enemies, collect precious orbs and, most importantly, get out alive. A backdrop story adds to the intrigue and pulls you into the arcade experience that encapsulates the ambience of the 1980s.

Dystoria features moving platforms, switches for doors, triggers that change level geometry, deadly moving lasers to avoid, destructible blocks to blow up (often revealing hidden areas of valuable pickups) and much, much more.

Due to the nature of the game’s 3D navigation, Dystoria brings on the exhilarating feeling of vertigo, thusly becoming mind-bending. Some players will take awhile to get used to how to do this. Your mind needs to think in an unusual way, but it becomes easier the more you do it, which is a very rewarding experience.

Look for Dystoria for Windows on Steam February 21, 2017. It will be available at a 33% discount for one week.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
