E-Home Entertainment and Spotlightor Interactive present a colorful 3D puzzle-platformer with an elegantly simple premise

In the puzzle-platformer Candleman, you play a…well…candle. You must travel through nine chapters and 36 relatively dark levels using only 10 seconds of candlelight per level. Needless to say, the further you go the more difficult things become.

If that weren’t enough, you’ll encounter raving furnaces, bottomless depths, menacing ghosts, massive machinery and more. The good news is that the weight loss resulting from dripping candle wax will permit greater maneuverability and an ability to jump higher and higher.

Gao Ming, co-founder, Spotlightor and Candleman Creator: Even though the game’s adventure is contained inside of a magical world, it focuses on the internal struggle of seeking out purpose in a world juxtaposed by light and darkness.

E-Home Entertainment: It’s been our pleasure to work alongside Gao Ming and the team at ID@XBOX to grow the original vision behind Candleman into the expansive, fully-realized adventure experience it is today. Together, we’re very excited to see how fans around the world fare within the fantastic adventure we’ve created for them.

Having previously been released in China, Candleman is now available in 28 regions including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong SAR, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States. The game is exclusively on Xbox One and can be purchased  here.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
