Kickstarter-Funded Perception Wants to Fill Your Senses with Fear – December 31, 2015
Feardemic, a new publishing label owned by Layers of Fear developer Bloober Team, has partnered with The Deep End Games to release the psychological horror game Perception. It will be Feardemic’s first release.
Cassie, the game’s protagonist, is haunted by nightmares of an abandoned mansion that she feels compelled to find. Once there, she discovers a ghostly Presence that has tormented generations of inhabitants. It now hunts her.
Get ready for a deadly game of cat-and-mouse that has quite a twist. Perception is unique in that Cassie is blind and must navigate using echolocation; every sound creates a visual. She must also rely on her heightened sense of hearing and razor-sharp wits to survive the mansion and unravel its mysteries.
Bill Gardner, Creative Director, The Deep End Games: We have had an overwhelming number of requests to bring Perception to PlayStation 4 players. Needless to say, we’re stoked to make this happen! It’s also fantastic to have a great publishing partner like Feardemic to help ship the game, allowing us to focus on development as much as possible.
Marta Matyjewicz, Marketing Manager, Feardemic: We couldn’t dream of a better partner than The Deep End Games to commence our work in the publishing industry. We’re excited to work with Perception, and honoured that we have the opportunity to deliver this unique horror experience to players on PC and PS4.
The game’s release date is still TBD, so stay tuned…
