Zoetrope’s upcoming horror adventure title is due to launch in Q1 2017
Conarium, a Lovecraft-Inspired Chiller is Announced – July 22, 2016
…only a very few minds pass the conventional boundaries of human cognition deeper into the realms of unification; a collective plane of existence where classical understanding of things fall apart; like a house of mirrors where the reflection of the self goes in all direction without any hindrance of common laws of physics. Tangible mass of the mind weighs lighter and lighter until one leaves the physical bounds of the flesh; mind-body dualism becomes explicit. Therefore, from strange manifold angles -– which no single soul has ever comprehended — images and shadows of the past and future could crawl to and fro, changing into shapes that the ordinary human eye fail to see for they contain information that goes beyond the third dimension…
Excerpt from the book “Time Bore”
As part of an expedition to Antarctica, you possess a device called a Conarium. Its purpose is to transcend the limits of human consciousness.
Unfortunately, using it kills you. However, you’re not permanently dead. You come back, but you’ve been transformed into something…different. The rest of the expedition has disappeared.
You experience strange memories, dreams and visions. You find yourself in alternate realities populated by ghastly beings.
Taking inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft’s novella At the Mountains of Madness, Conarium takes place after the original story. Its sinister, cutting-edge visuals are powered by Unreal 4. The game promises to plunge you into an immersive and frightening experience.
Iceberg Interactive plans to release Conarium, from developer Zoetrope Interactive, in Q1 2017 on Windows, XBox One and Playstation 4.
