Phantaruk To Be Launched This August – July 18, 2016

Phantaruk is story-driven, first-person survival horror that offers a stunning visual and audio experience. It creates an immersive environment that takes the player down the rabbit hole and doesn’t let go until the very end.

As a victim of experiments, you find yourself on board the spaceship Purity-02. Once a research vessel, it’s become a deadly trap.

A terrifying enemy awaits in the shadows and roams the ship’s corridors: the mythical beast Phantaruk.

This creature will react to your behavior. It will never stop hunting you. The only way you’ll survive is to get off the ship before it finds you.

Patryk Polewiak, Phantaruk‘s main designer: When designing locations we aimed for the feeling of claustrophobia, we wanted to corner the player just like Dead Space did. Purity-02 is dirty, dark and full of heavy atmosphere. The engineering sections are composed of steel and rust but on the other hand we have medical and administration quarters which are very, very bloody. There is a lot of tight corridors and some open space areas which make confrontations with the enemy much more exciting.

One of our goals was to make sure that the player can never feel completely safe. We created an environment in which you are constantly hunted down and can be surprised at every corner. We achieved that by exploiting tools more sophisticated than simple jump scares which are so prevalent in horror video games.

Phantaruk will be released August 16, 2016 for Windows on Steam. Developer Polyslash has confirmed that the game will be priced at 11.99 $ / 11.99 euro.
