Hey. If you’re going back north, can you take this letter? For my uncle, Bacca… If you see him…
Have you ever felt like giving up? When every task feels like scaling a mountain? When every day feels impossible?
The Thin Silence is a cinematic narrative adventure with both puzzle and exploration elements. It’s told through the introspection and recollection of one Ezra Westmark.
Ezra feels empty and hopeless; his future feels dark. Join him on a journey to confront his past. Help him overcome challenges along the way and find his way out of the darkness. Uncover what led him there and find the hope that leads him home. Help Ezra discover who he really is.
During your journey, you’ll collect and combine important items that can be used to manipulate the environment in many varied and unexpected ways. Obstacles are not intended as tests; rather, you are facing the same challenges that Ezra faces and thinking creatively to overcome them.
An average playthrough may take anywhere from 2 to 10 hours. The game’s world is rich and varied; it’s designed to be experienced and savored.
The Thin Silence is intended to be a conversation, a 21st century recurrence of an ancient pastime in the vein of The Beginner’s Guide, Gone Home and Firewatch.
So sit and stare into the fire, and we’ll tell you a story.
The Thin Silence, from Australian indie developer Two PM, will be released on Windows and Mac in 2016 (exact date TBD). If this sounds like your kind of game, please give it your vote on Greenlight.
