The Mystery of Woolley Mountain features characters collectively known as the Helmholtz Resonators. Already existing in other media, there are five altogether:
~Garland Vanderbilt – a stickler for tidiness, whose motto is, “PUT THAT BACK WHERE IT BELONGS!”
~VenDamm Laudenleer – plays lots of musical instruments and understands any scientific device
~Carlton Breezy – prefers to do anything except tangible work; shares mutual interest in darts, movies and arcade machines with Auto, the group’s robot
~Chladni Plates – plays Low Frequency Guitar; thinks he’s a lothario
~Frithel Stock-Stone – Obsessed with science; plays drums; loves the Bee Gees
Collectively described as time-traveling renegade audio scientists, they must traverse a fantastical, sprawling universe to rescue kidnapped children from an evil witch. An awesome soundtrack will accompany them.
Woolley Mountain features unique 2D cartoon graphics. You’ll be playing different characters throughout the game and will be able to interact with almost everything. There will be no swearing (although “darn” might appear).
If you loved The Secret Of Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, DiscWorld, Space Quest, Trap Door, Phantom Tollbooth and Chorlton and the Wheelies, then The Mystery of Woolley Mountain is for you.
A Kickstarter campaign with a base goal of £8,000 has been launched and will run until August 19, 2016. Please consider backing the game. A Greenlight campaign is also in progress, just waiting for your vote.
If all goes well, The Mystery of Wolley Mountain will be launched in Beta in mid-2017, with a final release for PC and Mac in October 2017.
