An evil villian is intent on desroying the dreams of humans. You are Blithe Dalrich, a dream monster of the underworld (but this doesn’t mean you’re bad). Along with your best friend, Aphonic, embark on a wild journey to put a stop to this destruction!
The game’s key mechanic is the ability to travel between two points in time. You’ll be swept off to Caribbean islands, murky forests and dank caves. You’ll even get to meet “death.”
The Secret Monster Society is being created in the style of games such as Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion. The game will be fully voiced, and offer full HD resolution (1920×1080).
Gavin Powell, Game Director, Deceptive Games: The amount of support since first showing the game has been overwhelming. We have been trying to capture the aesthetics of the Saturday morning cartoons that many of us grew up with. And, from player reaction, we may have succeeded. We have grown up playing 2d adventure games, and combining the two has made for a perfect combination, for the both lore and aesthetics of the game. We are very excited for more players to get their hands on the game.
The plan is to release the game “ASAP” on as many platforms as possible, starting with Windows on Steam. Requirements:
~Windows 2K/XP/Vista
~2 Ghz Dual Core processor
~3 GB system memory
~3D card with 512 MB video memory
~DirectX 9.0c
The Secret Monster Society is currently looking to be Greenlit. If you’d like to show your support, please head over to the Greenlight page and vote! Thank you!
