Time Machine VR: It’s Up to You to Save the Human Race – January 6, 2016

As a time-traveling cadet, you’re sent back to the Jurassic era on a mission of exploration. In the present, however, melting ice caps have released a deadly virus. This transforms your routine assignment into a race to save humanity from extinction, during which time will start to splinter around you.

Minority CEO Vander Caballero: As kids, we all dreamed of encountering a dinosaur. So when VR came around three years ago and we started experimenting with it, we immediately remembered this dream. Once we started bringing the megalodon and other creatures back to life in VR, we couldn’t wrap our minds around how huge and real they looked! This is the kind of mind-blowing contact with prehistoric creatures that can only happen in VR.

Time Machine VR‘s narrative has been written by Jill Murray (Assassin’s Creed III and IV), and features 10+ hours of single-player gameplay. Tne game is currently available in Early Access.

Minority Media has built Time Machine VR from the ground up exclusively for VR. It will support Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers.

The game will launch on Oculus Rift (CV1) and HTC Vive headsets on May 19th for Windows. It will be released on Playstation VR at a later date.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
