Oh, the déjà vu.

Just yesterday (Tuesday, March 29th), I wrote up the upcoming survival horror game Allison Road. Today, I came across another survival horror game called Visage

According to indie developer Sad Square Studio: Visage looks like a mash-up of The Grudge, Allison Road and Slender Man. It also appears to be taking something from the dearly departed P.T. (a Playable Teaser for game-in-development Silent Hills, which was pulled when Silent Hills was canceled), as does Allison Road.

I think I’ve arrived a little late to the party, as Visage has already been Kickstarted and Greenlit. So many games, so little time…

Visage takes place in a rather large house that has a dark, unsavory history of brutality and violence. As you wander through the vastness, you’ll be bombarded with memories of brutal murders, insanity and suicide. Dark entities within the twisted environment will be drawn to your fear. You will have no weapons.

Sad Square Studio asks: What would you become if you couldn’t even recognize yourself in the mirror? Each death has its visage. How will you face them?

Visage is being crafted with Unreal Engine 4. It will be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and will feature VR support. Currently, the tentative release date is January 2017.

Death that comes at the hands of hate leaves traces… Like fingerprints in time.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
