Unravel, Featuring Yarny, a Cute Little Critter Made of…Well…Yarn
From developer Coldwood Interactive and publisher Electronic Arts comes a physics-based puzzle-platformer with no dialog
In Unravel you’ll become Yarny, who is made from a single strand of yarn. He will traverse stunning environments inspired by Northern Sweden — also home to developer Coldwood Interactive — on a quest to mend a broken bond and re-unite a family’s lost loved ones.
Yarny will slowly unravel as he moves. Fortunately, more yarn can be discovered along the way with which to fortify him.
Yarn will play a big part in the game’s physics-based puzzles. It will enable Yarny to negotiate such maneuvers as reaching out, climbing, swinging, connecting, making bridges and launching himself high in the air.
There is no dialog in Unravel. The story unfolds through Yarny’s expressions, through moods, moments, music, and -– of course -– the environment.
Unravel is about finding beauty, wonders and adventures in the ordinary world. You’ll discover memories, secrets and subtleties that you can assemble any way you want in order to craft your own story.
The game is to be released on February 9, 2016 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
