Prominence Offers Up Some Pre-Release Goodies
Digital Media Workshop has created a new website for its upcoming sci-fi adventure and launched a Prologue that will offer insight into the game’s content and backstory (no spoilers)

From Digital Media Workshop: “Prominence is a first-person, point-and-click adventure for PC/Windows filled with puzzle-solving goodness, compelling character arcs, and an engaging story of hope and humanity in the best traditions of science-fiction.”
The Letarri people, persecuted for generations, are traveling to a far-off planet seeking a new home. Unfortunately, something has gone terribly wrong and has put their fate in your hands. Will you be able to save them and their mission, or is it already too late?
Prominence will feature challenging inventory/GUI puzzles, holographic data, clues to help reconstruct the mission’s events, “hackable” computer subsystems, new skills to learn, fully rendered HD environments and more.
With the start of the final Beta closer than ever, Digital Media Workshop has launched a spoiler-free Prominence Prologue. This will consist of weekly chapters in which you’ll learn about Letarri culture and technology along with the game’s colonization mission, and meet some of the interstellar spaceship’s crew.
The first two chapters of the Prologue have been released and are available here. The next one is scheduled for July 28th. By the time all are released, the player will have a companion novella to accompany the game. Behind-the-Scenes content is also available.
Further, here is a brand new, shiny Prominence website to explore.
When Prominence is released, it will include a digital soundtrack lasting over 40 minutes (the music is beautiful), a digital production art book, character portrait avatars, and other goodies that will be announced closer to the game’s release.
Prominence has been Greenlit and will be released for PC/Windows at a date TBD. From what I’ve seen of the game, it will offer an incredible ride.
