Video Games Live™, an immersive concert event that has taken place annually since 2005, features music from the most popular video games of all time. Top orchestras and choirs from around the world perform with exclusive synchronized video footage and music arrangements, synchronized lighting, Internet solo performers, electronic percussion, live action and unique interactive segments to create an explosive, one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.

From the VGL™ website: “Video Games Live™ bridges a gap for entertainment by exposing new generations of music lovers and fans to the symphonic orchestral experience while also providing a completely new and unique experience for families and/or non-gamers. The show is heralded and enjoyed by the entire family. It’s the power & emotion of a symphony orchestra mixed with the excitement and energy of a rock concert and the technology and interactivity of a video game all completely synchronized to amazing cutting edge video screen visuals, state-of-the-art lighting and special on-stage interactive segments with the audience.”

Tommy Tallarico, game industry veteran, superstar and driving force behind VGL: “The Syberia franchise is the perfect type of artist expression to add to our show. Not only are the visuals and gameplay really amazing… but the music has always been such a integral and beautiful element of the overall experience. We’re looking forward to bringing this masterpiece to people around the world for many years to come!”

Exclusively during these concerts — to be held August 7th through 9th this year — music and animated images from Syberia 3 will be revealed for the first time, and music from Syberia and Syberia 2 will be performed by a symphony orchestra.

Inon Zur, who wrote the music for Syberia 2 as well as for other prize-winning productions such as Fallout, Dragon Age and Prince of Persia, is composing the music for Syberia 3. “I’m very excited to be back working with Microïds and visionary writer and art director Benoît Sokal for Syberia III. It’s a beautiful world and another amazing story which is an absolute pleasure to write music for and I can’t wait to share the music with fans when we premiere the new themes with Video Games Live at this year’s GamesCom in Cologne.”

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
