A "dastardly game of conversational wordplay" where you engage in "combat through nuanced conversation" from Twelve Tiles/Degica Games

Last Word is an unconventional JRPG. It takes place in world in which the final word can impart mental trauma and give the speaker power over the recipient of his or her verbal fusillade.

Meet Professor Chet Chatters. He lives in a mansion to which he invites some veteran conversationalists to see his new invention: a one-way intercom. Now, how is a person supposed to get in the last word when faced with such a thing?

Worse yet, all invitees have something to hide. One of them, a photographer named Whitty Gawship, tries to discover what Chatters is really up to as characters try to get the last word in before Chatters does.

Last Word was the second place finalist in the 2014 Indie Game Maker contest. Famed developer Freebird Games (To the Moon, A Bird Story) has been a friend and consultant to the project.

The game will be available for PC on Steam beginning May 8th. “If the pen is mightier than the sword, the mouth is mightier yet!”

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
