Neocore has announced that The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III for PC will be coming to Steam in May. This will be the final chapter of the gothic-noir, steampunk action-RPG, influenced-by-Bram-Stoker’s-Dracula Van Helsing saga.

Van Helsing III will introduce six new character classes. Meet the spell-casting Umbralist and the heavily-armored Phlogistoneer:

From Van Helsing‘s narrative designer:

“In Van Helsing III, the civil war is over in Borgovia, but the future looks grim. The city of weird science is in ruins, squabbling factions and criminals fight for power and a strange cult prophesizes (sic) the coming of ‘The end of times.’ And they might be just right: A wave of uncanny events shakes the land, and it’s all connected to a mysterious creature, a former ally turned into a fearful arch-villain. Which means that Van Helsing will do what he does best: He wields weapons, prepares his deadly tricks, and hunts down the most dangerous monster who has ever lived…and this time it’s personal. He’s prepared to do anything to achieve his goal, even to face the darkest secret about the birth of the modern Borgovia.”

Van Helsing III will offer three modes of play: single-player, four-player co-op online and eight-player co-op PvP. It will also carry over features from Van Helsing II such as the tower-defense mini-game sequences, and reveal the past of cheeky companion Lady Katarina.

So look for The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III for PC this May on Steam.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
