Scorn Episode One Kickstarter Video, Screens, Info
A Gigeresque first-person horror adventure said to be too weird for mainstream appeal from indie developer Ebb Software
This looks to be a really strange one, folks. So much so that indie developer Ebb Software urges you to read all information on the Kickstarter page before you pledge.
In Scorn, you’ll be thrown into a nightmarish universe so unsettling and mysterious that you won’t be able to resist it.
The game has no conventional plot, nor does your character have a predetermined personality or history. The idea is for players to interpret the game’s events and themes and define their own roles in the bizarre universe in which they find themselves. The game progresses through experience rather than exposition.
The world of Scorn is open-ended and has interconnected maze-like regions, each with its own theme, puzzles and characters. There is no HUD. Inventory and ammo management is defined and limited. Throughout the game, players will constantly be required to re-think and adapt their actions.
Scorn is being created using Unreal 4 and will be released on PC. PS4 support will be considered, depending on the success of the Kickstarter campaign.
Ebb Software is looking to raise €200,000 by December 23, 2014. Come on, all you weirdos, freaks and lovers of the bizarre. Cough it up.
