Lucius II: The Prophecy has been in development by Shiver Games for close to two years — since the release of Lucius, in fact.

The gameplay and feel of Lucius II has been improved by adding features many felt were missing from the original. Johannes Aikio of Shiver Games: “The main goal has been to add more freedom and to deliver a sandbox-type setting for the murderous kid. Be ready to use your creativity for inflicting pain and suffering, because this time the restrictions are gone and the sins have multiplied!”

The story of Lucius II starts where the original left off. Lucius is the lone survivor of the burning wreckage his parents once called home, unscathed by the ruthless slaughter he had unleashed. He had taken the weak and punished the wicked. He had looked through their souls and found the true selves they had been hiding.

Lucius is taken to the psychiatric ward of St. Benedict’s Hospital by unsuspecting caretakers. The Book of Revelation predicts the birth of a child who will rule the world with an iron rod. The first part of this prophecy has been fulfilled. It is time to take care of the rest. Whispers of a prophecy find their way to the boy’s ears. Lucius decides to act again to regain his powers. But unknown to him, he’ll have new adversaries…

Lucius II: The Prophecy will be fulfilled in early 2015 for PC.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
