Austrian indie developer Zeppelin Studio has announced that its award-winning PC game Schein will be launched DRM-free on July 14, 2014.
Schein is a challenging puzzle platformer that tells the story of a desperate man who ventures forth into the mystical swamp in search of his missing son. As he gets lost in the darkness, a wisp named Irrlicht appears and offers him help, guidance, and its magical power: a light that changes the world.
Light is the key to everything: you’ll use it to defeat deadly beasts, solve tricky puzzles and uncover hidden paths through the murky swamp.
You will use this mighty power and your wits to unveil new dimensions, defeat deadly beasts, solve tricky puzzles and uncover hidden paths through the murky swamp.
What began as a student project in early 2011 has since evolved into a promising startup’s first effort. Schein has been compared to Limbo and Braid.
A Greenlight campaign is in progress. A demo of the game can be downloaded here.
