A launch date of June 6, 2014 has been confirmed by Lace Games and Stage 2 Studios for Lifeless Planet, a third-person action-adventure. The game’s development has been handled practically single-handedly by David Board of Stage 2 Studios.

You are an astronaut on a one-way mission to a distant life-bearing planet that holds the promise of becoming a new Earth.

After you arrive, you find that the planet is barren and inhospitable. The adventure begins when you discover you’re not the planet’s first human visitor.

David Board: “When I first set off down this path some two-and-a-half years ago, little did I know just how much of my life would be dominated by this labour of love. Clearly, those long, dark, cold Alaskan winter nights have helped keep me focused!  More than anything else, I am absolutely thrilled that the gaming world will at last get to enjoy the game that is Lifeless Planet!”

“Two-and-a-half years ago, Lace Games bought into David’s vision,” comments Adam Lacey, CEO of Lace Games. “Our belief in David and his ability to deliver on that vision has been totally justified and we are looking forward to the game being made available to the game-playing public.”

Lifeless Planet will be available for PC on June 6, 2014. It will feature English text and voiceovers along with full text and subtitled localization into German, Russian, French and Spanish.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
