Earthlock is an adventure RPG featuring classic turn-based combat with the developer’s own twist. Players will grow and harvest their magical ammunition on their own island and pair up warriors and protectors to unleash devastating attacks on their enemies.

Earthlock features an original story written by comic book writer Magnus Aspli and will take the players on a grand journey on Umbra, where was is brewing. It’s a planet that had mysteriously stopped spinning ages before. As the desert scavenger Amon, you must stop the coming war by unlocking the mysteries of Umbra and prevent an ancient, magical cult from seizing power.

In December 2013, Snowcastle launched a Kickstarter for Festival of Magic (as the game was then known). The timing was unfortunate with the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One as well as the holiday season. In a strategic retreat, the campaign was stopped before completion.

The new Kickstarter campaign will go live on March 6th at 4pm Pacific. You can preview it here. It will run until 4pm Pacific, April 11, 2014.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
