The idea behind Labyrinth is to create an innovative, immersive experience that diverts from the norm. The game is being designed for everyone: explorers, gamers, casual players and those who enjoy a challenge.

Labyrinth begins shortly after you fall into a strange dungeon leaving you completely lost, disoriented and confused. You must find your way back out, but doing so won’t be easy.

Escaping will be a true test of courage. To persevere and navigate through the labyrinth will not be as simple as it may seem. In fact, doing so will be an amazing accomplishment.

Labyrinth is designed from two perspectives, creating two unique ways to play. Escape is but one option. The other – for explorers – will be to discover the history of the labyrinth and find the center of the maze.

This will be truly challenging because, unlike the normal “escape” game path, finding the way to the center and the labyrinth’s biggest secret will test an adventurer’s spirit and resolve.

From keyholes hidden behind bricks to searching through piles of dirt for clues, adventurers will have their work cut out for them to find the hidden path that provides a whole new experience.

There is no backstory. Labyrinth allows players to make their own story.

When does the game take place? You decide.

The location? You decide.

Who are you? Whoever you want to be!

This unique approach allows players to immerse themselves easily and focus on the task at hand from the very beginning, and will encourage stronger player-character empathy and connection by introducing no preconceptions about the protagonist.

A Kickstarter campaign is in progress until March 18, 2014. A release date for the game is TBD.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
