Feature Trailer and Screens – February 4, 2014

With THIEF™, Eidos-Montréal has breathed life back into a classic, critically-acclaimed series.

To celebrate its impending release, a new feature trailer has been released. It will show you everything you need to know about the game: key story insights, key characters and gameplay, and key feature set (within which, main character Garrett doesn’t need any keys).

Stephane Roy, Producer: “It’s a wrap, Thief is gold. It’s nearly time for the fans to fall in love with Thief all over again, and time for newcomers to finally see what all the fuss is about. Thief is one of the founding-fathers of the stealth genre; we’re proud to have worked on such a well-loved series and proud to say Garrett, the Master Thief, is back.

As Garrett, a dark and solitary thief with an unrivaled set of skills, you will step from the shadows into the troubled City. The most challenging heists, the most inaccessible loot, the best kept secrets: nothing is out of your reach.

With the Baron’s Watch spreading a rising tide of fear and oppression, a mysterious sickness grips the streets. Led by Orion, the voice of the people, the citizens rise in bloody revolution.

Garrett’s thieving skills are all he can trust as he walks the fine line between politics and the people, entangled in layers of conflict. With time running out, the Master Thief unravels a terrible secret from his dark past that ultimately threatens to tear his world apart.

Garrett never paid the price for anything…until now.

THIEF™ delivers unprecedented immersion through next-gen graphics, hardware and artificial intelligence. Become one with the world thanks to ground-breaking visual elements and a truly tactile and visceral first-person experience like nothing you’ve felt before.

THIEF™ is due for release on February 25th in North America and February 28th worldwide for Windows PC, PlayStation®3, PlayStation®4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
