News: December 3, 2013 – The Long Dark: Update
Videos, Screens & Info – November 29, 2013
The Long Dark is a beautifully rendered first-person post-disaster survival simulation set in the Northern wilderness. It can be argued that a storyline that has been missing in the post-apocalyptic onslaught of game titles is a realistic world not filled with zombies, mutant creatures and other fantastical monsters – The Long Dark iooks to be more in the line of say a Cormack McCarthy novel, The Road, or David Brin’s, The Postman.
The images and prototype gameplay footage look beautiful.
The Long Dark is another successfully Kickstarter funded game, raising $256,000 CAD, above its goal of $200,000. Notably, the Kickstarter campaign has surpassed 2 of its 4 stretch goals. The first for a downloadable graphic novel, and the second for an extended game soudtrack.
