Techland and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released today a new gameplay video from their upcoming survival horror game Dying Light. The video reveals more of the game’s day-to-night mechanic and how players will have to adapt to survive depending on the time of the day.

 

Dying Light is set in an open world where they must scavenge for supplies during the day to best prepare themselves for when night comes. Infected humans roam the land, but are not much of a threat during the day. The player is a skilled courier, utilizing their parkour skills to stay  mobile and avoid combat. When the night comes, the senses of the infected become more sensitive and will hunt for human flesh to consume. They will run, jump, and climb, even becoming stronger: your option here is to not fight but to avoid and survive.

Dying Light is aiming for a 2014 release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
