Lichdom, a New PC-Based First-Person RPG is Announced
To be released by Atlanta-based indie-developer Xaviant® in Summer 2014
Lichdom is fresh off a sneak peek at AMD’s GPU ’14 Tech Day event, shown on September 25th. Those interested in viewing it can go to AMD Gaming’s Facebook page.

The world of Lichdom is violent; cruel tyrants terrorize the innocent, and the land is corrupted by dark magic.
One individual has stood up to the disease plaguing Lichdom. His name is Roth. The only thing known about him is that he fights darkness across ages.
He has chosen you, the player, as his new champion. You are the Dragon, the Redeemer. You wield the most powerful magic that exists to combat the darkness engulfing the world.
“Our mantra is ‘you will feel everything,’ which means that our approach to designing games is focused on immersing the player completely in the game,” said Michael McMain, CEO and creative director of Lichdom. “When gamers play our games, we want them to forget about things like controllers and keyboards. With Lichdom, we’ve achieved just that.”
Lichdom features intense and dynamic action, with an advanced targeting system based on intent rather than manual aim. Further, players aren’t bound by constraints such as mana or cooldowns, making gameplay more fluid. Players will craft their own spells by manipulating manipulating diverse sets of properties rather than relying on books or trainers that teach spells crafted by others.
Lichdom‘s gameplay, graphics and effects will be brought to life by CRYENGINE.

TrueAudio, AMD’s new audio technology, will give the game’s visuals and action a further boost. It will speed the creation of deeper, richer sounds and music and will add a new dimension to the gaming experience.
