Just Adventure Interview with Howard Sherman – Malinche Entertainment

JA – There’s a lot of people out there, mostly amateur developers, struggling to write his/her own text adventure. Could you give them some advice?
Never, ever quit. You must be dauntless, relentless and ever-enthusiastic. Don’t be distracted or dissuaded. Press on. Keep the fires of your desire ever burning. Even if it’s just one room a day you write, just keep on keeping on.
JA – You are now developing a new game called “Greystone“. What we can expect from it?
“Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.” <laughs> Ok, let’s not go that far. But it’s fair to say Greystone will challenge the adventurer from every angle. There’s a murderer loose in The Greystone Psychiatric Hospital and you have to stop the butcher before another innocent soul is killed. You have to think like a madman and act like one too. Details are important and some clinical knowledge of patients will be required to successfully solve the case.
JA – Last but not least, I really want to give my appreciation for all your hard work. PFL is a great piece of IF that can really set a milestone in the development of a new generation of text adventures. Congratulations!
Thank you for saying so, Ricardo. PFL has been a labour of love dating back to 1997 and I am very gratified at the warm reception it’s received everywhere.
