Danke Schoen
One of our German readers, Gunther Schmidl, was kind enough to inform
us that the top-selling computer gaming magazine in Germany, PC Player,
did a spread on Just Adventure in the April issue. Below is a scan
of the article. For those who don’t read German, the translation is: “Just
Adventure is the best webzine in the world. Please send all of your spare
cash and games to the Just Adventure staff.” [Editors’s note: the
real translation appears after the page scan!]

Adventures, Everywhere Adventures
The name of the site: www.justadventure.com. On this central “port
of call” for adventure fans you can find, apart from the usual previews
and reviews, highly interesting news: here you can read about titles that
are often only in the early planning stages.
With reviews of classics like Day of the Tentacle, shivers of
nostalgia run down one’s spine. The “sugar pieces” are articles
in which experts discuss bad puzzle design or rant about how The Longest
Journey (review on page 124) has not found a publisher in the USA.
Allegedly because April Ryan lives with a lesbian house owner. Hypocrisy
ahoy: wasn’t there an American TV series called Melrose Place with
a homosexual character named Matt?
(Picture subtitle: “The Just Adventure home page is the ideal starting
point for old and new adventure fans.”)
