1–Twinsen Gone! Only 7 left! Millions wonder: Who next?

In
a not totally unexpected move, Twinsen, hero of the popular Little Big Adventure
(aka Relentless) was the first entry to be booted off Adventure Island
Survivor.

Last-ditch efforts by “The Committee to Keep Twinsen
on the Island” were met with indifference; largely due to Twinsen’s benign
personality. When asked to comment on his departure from the island, Twinsen’s
only response was to posture himself in run mode and toss his magic ball.

Now
the question arises: who next? Laura Bow–little-known, but remembered with love.
Is she the “Mary Ann” of this group? Guybrush Threepwood: swashbuckler
or swashbumbler? Manny–would you want to share a tent with a dead guy? What if
he gets hungry and begins gnawing on his own arm? Simon the Sorcerer–c’mon now,
who in their right mind would want to be stuck on an island with a sassy teenager
(unless one were a cannibal)? Tex Murphy–could this poor man’s Columbo last one
day away from the big city?

You make the choice. You influence
the decision. Now it is time to choose again as one character must leave … Adventure
Island Survivor.

Week 2–Edward Carnby Booted off Island, Left
Alone in the Dark

When asked to comment, Carnby just scowled and muttered
something about a New Beginning.

Two down and six to go …

Witnesses
claim to have seen Laura Bow and Simon sneaking off together into the jungle underbrush–could
this be the beginning of a sequel?

Tex Murphy has been spotted sitting alone
on tree stumps, nibbling on small insects, while April has been using her newfound
powers to attempt to bring Manny back to life.

Now it is time for you to
choose again. Who will you vote to be the lone survivor?

Week 3–Laura
Bows Out! Only Five Remain!

She was able to survive a hurricane knocking
the poll out of commission and the fumble-fingered advances of Simon the Sorcerer,
but in a last minute voting frenzy, Laura Bow was booted from Adventure Island.

Simon
is said to be in a deep funk following the loss of his first true love. April
Ryan has thus far resisted the advances of the jilted lover as the five survivors–April
Ryan, Guy Threepwood, Simon the Sorcerer, Tex Murphy, and Manny Calavera–must
now band together to face not only the elements of Adventure Island, but also
the voting of you–their judge and jury.

And now it is time for you to decide
once again–who will survive Adventure Island?

Week 4–A Shocking Decision!
Only Four Remain!

In a totally unexpected move, Simon the Sorcerer was
booted from the island after it was discovered he was using his powers of prestigiation
to influence voters against an unknowing April Ryan.

Still stinging from
the loss of Laura Bow, Simon had forged an unholy alliance with Sordid, his arch-nemesis,
and was discovered to have magically controlled one or two voters to cast thousands
of votes against April Ryan.

Now only four remain: April, Manny, Guy, and
surprisingly–Tex Murphy.

Who will be the lone survivor? Now it is time
for you to make that decision.

And don’t forget–whoever correctly chooses
the correct survivor along with the most creative reason why that person should
survive will win a brand new adventure game. Send your choice to [email protected]

Week 5–April May March! Nefarious Plot Unveiled!

Rumors
abound that April Ryan may march in protest after a contingent of male pubescent
voters were overcome by their raging hormones and deluged the Adventure Island
Survivor poll with thousands of votes. As April was led from the island she was
heard to mutter, “This is what happens when Lara’s virtual cleavage is the
closest they’ve ever been to a real woman. I hope their acne never clears up.”

On
a related note, a nefarious plot was unveiled as secret documents were discovered
outlining a ploy to keep Tex Murphy on the island. Using the code name STACk (Save
Tex Action Committee) a group of desperate programmers fought to keep their idol
on the island. Life imitated art as their bumbling efforts defused their underhanded
scheme before causing any long-lasting repercussions.

Now all that remain
are a pirate (Guy Threepwood), a stiff (Manny Calavera), and a dick (Tex Murphy).
Who shall be the sole survivor? All bets are off as next week the rules change.

In
a surprising twist; the previous five nonsurvivors will return to each cast a
single vote worth 12%, or an accumulated 60% of the total. Fan voting will count
for 40%. Anything can and probably will happen.
