Captain Disaster takes a job delivering a package from Acturus-1 to Proboscis Major, not realising that he is transporting something that could put the entire galaxy in danger. Getting the package in the first place is a challenge in itself.
Along the way, he investigates interesting peculiar people, puzzling places, and panicky problems. He eventually realises that something is wrong and sets out to save the day.
The journey includes plenty of laughs and head-scratching dilemmas, leading to a shocking conclusion and the answer to what all this “Million Stomping Boots” business is about.
