Captain Disaster In: Death Has A Million Stomping Boots
The galaxy needs a hero... what they're getting is a (generally) well-meaning nitwit and his occasionally helpful computer...
In this indie game, which is currently under development, Captain Disaster takes a job delivering a package from Acturus-1 to Proboscis Major. He has no idea what's inside it and is bound by a condition not to open it.
After dealing with the intensely draconian customs officials on Acturus-1 and several odd aliens, the intrepid captain has to defeat space pirates and convince a planet-eating monster to un-eat a planet before he can successfully deliver the package.
He then discovers that his current employers are planning to wreak havoc across the galaxy using the contents of the package. Employing all of his wits (such as they are) and his ship's computer (who is helpful... every so often), CD must save the galaxy from a threat no one knew existed...
A playable demo will be out in the next 2-3 weeks (no date set right now), and the first teaser trailer has been released here.
